Dancing With The Bride
You know that one person at a wedding that gets drunk and thinks that they can dance? Yeah...that was definitely me. If you read my other blog post Dancing Bears & a Bride, I stated that I will never volunteer to be a bartender, attend TBRU festivities, and a wedding. Definitely not as young as I used to be and it definitely showed. I also started the day at Chimys...so there is that.
But anyways, I was able to attend one of my best friend's wedding and it was nothing short of beautiful. The bride looked amazing and her dress was gorgeous! I was also able to catch up with some of the girls I went on the bachelorette trip with and some that I knew from Lubbock. I got there a little early so I could hang out with them and saw them take pictures. One thing I can say is that these ladies know how to get done up! We finally took our seats, they had the ceremony outside and waited for the ceremony to start.
Now the bride is one of those people that has a smile every time you see her no matter what. But when she walked down, she had a smile that not only lit up the room but probably one of the most genuine smiles I have seen. During the ceremony, I may or may not have teared up a couple of times (the boyfriend definitely has a picture of me crying).
After they were declared husband and wife, we all retreated to the reception. We danced...a lot, or at least I did and had an amazing time. We finished up the night with performing the Texas Tech Fight song. A little background information, I met the bride through a fellow cheerleader and we have all hung out ever since. She even coined the term "Cheer Groupie" and it stuck. But, I have always said that the bride has always been like a little sister, we have our ups and downs, but always managed to stay good friends.
I definitely wish the bride and groom a lifetime of happiness. If I ever get married, I give either of you permission to be that person at my wedding!
